Water purification
The water purification building contains all equipment necessary for the treatment of radioactively contaminated waste water. These are essentially the following systems:
- Inlet pool for collection of waste water streams in the basement
- Collection tanks for intermediate buffering, sampling and, if necessary, chemical treatment
- Filtration systems for decontamination/purification of waste water
- Sludge filling station for filling of radioactive sludge from the filtration process into drums
- Storage pools for collection and sampling of purified wastewater before discharge
- Required infrastructure such as pipes, pumps, valves, control, alarm system, …
